Today was great. We got so much done and built an amazing websockets roulette game. There is now a daily bonus, roulette, much better shop UX, and a much better mobile experience.
For some reason, I thought every websockets service would have to run on it's own port, hence it's own subdomain, so I avoided working on too many websockets things. But today, I realized that was totally incorrect and we built out a really really solid roulette table. It has a bunch of fun features where when you type messages, your message is analyzed for sentiment and you'll turn into whatever emoji you might best relate to (if you are angry, you turn mad, etc).
The table has some fun things, like walking around, chat, and you can even order bottle service. We had a ton of fun making this, but it feels like the gambling games are going to reach a point where they are just too boring.
I've played a lot of GTA V online and didn't spend more than 5 minutes actually walking around the casino with the other players. It just sucked. The joy of a real casino is that you are wageting real money with other people, and there is this beautiful social moment where you are all kind of vulnerable together in this big mix of crazy hopeful people who think that they might make it big. Online? It's just kind of funny to roleplay and simulate that same thing. I'm not sure. Rambling.
Anyway, I officially changed the tab to "MMO" today in hopes of building the actual multiplayer stuff tomorrow! We're going to have the base game, with daily rewards, and an actual gameplay loop. We'll have levelable characters, really fun stuff, it will be fantastic.

We'll kick off development of the MMO. I'm really excited too, as soon we'll have a bank balance over $100. That is some amazing investment income.
Right now, my laptop is just plugged in 24/7 running this website, but soon we'll switch to the downstairs server and do a Github poller thing to run this website. It'll be great.
